Simge holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and she completed her Master of Science degree in Neuropsychology in Bristol, UK. She completed her doctorate at Heidelberg University, Germany, undertaking research on neuropsychology and dementia. She has several years of experience in academia and has been involved in various research projects conducted with different study populations, from children to older adults. She currently works as a Project Manager at EAAD and supports the administration of the EU-funded projects, MESUR and EAAD-Best, as well as other EAAD activities.
Stefan is responsible for the maintenance of the EAAD website and ensures the flawless communication within the company on a technical side. Besides this he supports the EAAD in different projects with his technical input.
Pia is a psychologist and works as a Project Manager and international coordinator at EAAD. She is involved in the EU-funded projects MENTUPP and EAAD-Best, as well as in other EAAD activities. Pia has experience in both academic and applied research, as well as in marketing and communications in the fields of education and culture.
Carolina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and completed her Master of Science degree in Health Science. She has several years of experience in academia and has been involved in various research projects. She currently works as a Project Manager at EAAD and supports the administration of the EU-funded projects MENTBEST and EAAD-Best, as well as other EAAD activities.
Eva Schatz holds a Master’s in Business Administration and completed her PhD at the University of Göttingen, Germany. She has many years of experience as Finance Manager in the banking sector and in NGOs. She is responsible for payment operations, accounting preparation and support on financial reports for EAAD.
Katharina works as a project manager and international coordinator at EAAD. She supports the EU-funded projects MENTUPP and EAAD-Best and is also involved in other EAAD activities. Katharina holds a PhD in psychology and conducted research on cognitive and emotional development at different Universities across Europe for over 10 years before joining the EAAD.
Sandra has a degree in Translation and Interpreting and is bilingual German/English. She has many years' experience with managing both international teams and international projects. Sandra has worked in a variety of industries, from the semi-public sector to investment banking and management consultancy. She now supports the EAAD by running the newsletter as well as helping with translations, events and a whole host of other ad hoc tasks.
Jodie is a Psychologist and holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science and a Masters degree in Health Psychology. Jodie is currently studying for a Masters in Public Health, specialising in Social Systems and Social Justice. Jodie has worked for many years as a psychologist in non-government organisations, hospitals, and private practice. Jodie currently works as a volunteer with EAAD, supporting the team on projects.
Maria is a communications enthusiast with 14 years of experience in PR and communications. After her studies of German and English linguistics and literature she worked in international PR agencies, followed by global tech companies, focusing on taking global campaigns to local markets, raising brand awareness, and developing narratives tailored down to the needs of target audiences.
Paul studies Cognitive Science and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. His bachelor’s thesis explored the relationship between mental health and economic insecurity, sparking his interest in mental health and depression. Paul helps the EAAD team out by supporting its social media activities.
Khaled is an experienced professional with a diverse background in engineering, finance, and project management. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin and has contributed to numerous international projects across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East in various capacities. In addition to his technical and financial expertise, Khaled also possesses experience in translation between English and Arabic. Currently, he is volunteering with the European Alliance Against Depression (EAAD), where he helps with translating EAAD's materials into Arabic.
Olya Myrtsalo is a communication specialist with over 20 years of experience working for the U.S. Agency for International Development in Ukraine. She is an expert in planning and organizing public events; managing social media accounts, and coordinating outreach campaigns. Olya holds an MA in Journalism from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
