Ambassadors

The European Alliance Against Depression works across and beyond Europe to improve access to care and treatment for depression and contribute to the prevention of suicidal behaviour through evidence- and community-based action.

EAAD Ambassadors are individuals who use their voice, platform, and credibility to help EAAD to be a loud voice for people affected by depression and to foster responsible public dialogue.

Efthimis Karadimas

Founder and Frontman of Nightfall

I am proud to join EAAD as an ambassador. For many years, I struggled with depression without recognizing the symptoms or having the courage to seek professional help. When I finally did, my life changed for the better and my quality of life improved dramatically. That period of denial cost me valuable time, joy, and friendships. This is why I choose to share my story openly. If you are struggling, please do not lose hope. Reach out and talk about it. There are people who will listen, understand, and support you. After all, none of us should face depression alone. (© Thanasis Karatzas)
